Folia was established in 1991 following training at horticultural college., and is an independent design consultancy with Liz Roberts and Jenny Lloyd.

Qualifications are in horticulture, botany, landscaping and garden design.

Being based in Cheshire has given them the scope to design city, town and country gardens for a wide range of clients, with projects ranging from the tiniest courtyards to three acre plots. They have a wealth of experience in the different problems that sites can present.

In recent years work has taken them throughout the country, from London and the South-East, to the north of England and Wales. Their work has won awards at the RHS Tatton Show, for ‘Back-to-Back’ gardens in 1999 and 2001, and they designed and built a feature garden for Country Living Magazine in 2000. They have also worked with Channel 4’s ‘Real Gardens’. Commercial work includes housing schemes, office buildings and shopping precincts.
